The age of metal (Copper age)- India

Introduction

The age of metal  must be the golden period for people of stone age civilization, so due to the advancement of people they made more advance form of tools and weapon for their daily needs as well as for agriculture.Any one didn't know the perfect date for starting phase of metal use in India, it probably assume that after the at the ending phase of Neolithic age, the age of a metal come into existence, some Archaeologists assume that it started at 4000B.C. in India, but there must be the variation of tools found in India, as in South India after stone the age of metal started very latter as compare to North India, India north India we found the traces of copper as well as some traces of Bronze,but in South India we found the traces of Iron only at very latter age as compare to North India.The age of Metal must be divided into three age are Copper age, Bronze age, as well as the most Important Iron age.But in India we found only the traces of Copper and Iron metal Bronze at very least form. So we found mainly two age in India one was Copper age and another was Iron age.


Copper age


The Copper age was started in India most probably in 5000B.C., but the people of copper age not fully developed because use tools and weapon made of both stone and copper, The tools they used are called Chalcolithic tools. They are not totally came out from stone age, we found the traces of copper only in some part of North India like the area of Sindh Rajasthan and western Punjab, Mehrgrah- Baluchistan, Jalilpur etc.   But it not to be developed little bit in south India, the people of south India only use the stone tools and weapon..The introduction of copper change the life of people of copper age totally by this tools they used in agriculture, making jewellery and also makes designing pots.The age of metal makes them more creative.We found the evidence of different types of agriculture they done in vast scale like wheat, Rice, Johar, Bajra, etc. They Domesticate different types of animals like Cow, Dog, Bull, Pig, Sheep, Goat etc .We also found the evidence of many types of Red and Buff wares from Baluchistan and Sindh area.We found different ways the copper age people used both by Cremation as well as by Buried and we found different types of daily use thing with Dead bodies too.We also found the evidence that they also worship the mother Goddess as their main goddess.We found different small small civilization from these area are Zhob, Kotdiji, Arminal etc in form of village which latter shape the great Indus valley civilisation.They made up there house with both Dried and undried brick like Indus valley civilization people, the evidence of different wall of Kotdiji, and kalibangan prove this.We found different types of tools they used are Flakes tools, Axe, Knife, as well as different fashionable product like Breads as well as Stone jewellery.
